- Provides medical care and specialist consultation to Obs & Gyne patients and prescribes medication, and interprets investigations, treatment, and operation.
- Always being available to attend obstetrics emergencies by being the first on-call if required.
- Carries out daily ward rounds for admitted obstetric and gynecological patients including post-operative cases, with the support of other medical doctors and health professionals working in the health complex.
- Support the schedules and maintenance of medical equipment and surgical suite (theatre), including operating, wash-up, waiting rooms, and anesthetic and sterilizing equipment.
- Provides on-the-job training to other health staff and junior doctors on; improved management practices and other quality best practices with the aim of improving patient's treatment outcomes.
- The incumbent will work as a team member with clinical and administrative staff and doctors in managing gynecological and obstetric cases.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; courtesy, tact, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people
Educational Requirements :
- MBBS degree with valid BMDC registration; One-year PGT course required on Gynae & Obs
- Any post-graduation qualification in Pediatrics/Internal Medicine/Infectious Disease will be an added advantage
- Preferred Professional Certification: Oneyear PGT course required on Gynae Obs
