The art of applying design, aesthetics, clothing construction and natural beauty to clothing and its accessories
- Researching current fashion trends and determining what consumers will like
- Collaborating with the design team to develop ideas for new products based on research data
- Designing sketches for new products with a design team
- Creating clothing patterns for mass production
- Testing and deciding on fabrics, colors, patterns and textures for each design
- Overseeing the production of designs, including carrying out fittings, determining prices and managing marketing
- Maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers and models
- Communicating technical design information for customer samples
- Working with team members to design clothes for upcoming seasons
- Selecting fabrics and trims
- Creating tech packs with detailed specifications
- Developing CAD sketches to present to stakeholders
- Overseeing the prototype sample process
- Working with the design team to create mood boards
- Creating cost sheets and product lists
Educational Requirements :
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A)
- College degree in fashion design or related field.
Experience Requirements :

- Age 20 to 35 years

- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
- Fashion Designing, Graphics Design
- The applicants should have experience in Garments, Textile industry
- Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame.
- Excellent in inter-personal & communication skills.
- Creativity, innovation and flair
- An eye for color and a feel for fabrics and materials
- Ability to generate ideas and concepts
- Understand Fashion Trend Well
- Design and visualization skills, either by hand or through computer-aided design (CAD)
- Technical skills, including pattern cutting
- Self-motivation and confidence;
- Interpersonal, communication and networking skills
- Ability to negotiate and to influence others.
