Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF’s research has contributed to improvements of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professionals. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Medical Officer.
Provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and project management to successfully implement planned activities and produce results.
Develop work plan, train staff and ensure and oversee timely and quality implementation of project activities.
Develop and implement monitoring and quality assurance systems and ensure the operation of management systems and operating procedures for the implementation of project activities.
Monitor the progress and identify issues with potential solutions, and notify senior management team without delay
Develop and monitor project budget projections, expenditure, tracking and reporting are in accordance with donor requirements, procedures and practices.
Ensure a successful start-up and completion of the project including the documentation and dissemination of project achievements and execution of administrative project close-out.
Represent PRF to local DGHS, DGFP, development partners, and other key stakeholders.
Prepare and ensure timely submission of all technical reports
Identify opportunities for new project development and efforts to respond to solicitations
Educational Requirements :
MBBS degree, preferably Master’s in Public Health or relevant discipline
Experience Requirements :
At least 3 year(s)
Additional Requirements :
At least 3 years’ experience in public health research/program, including 1 year’ experience in management positions.
Ability to work in complex environment and deliver results in high pressure situations within stipulated timeline
Efficient decision making and problem solving skills
Ability to summarize the results or observation
Aptitude to work independently
Experience of working in clinical settings, health facility level would be added advantage.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation and presentation skills
Good networking and negotiating skills
Ability to travel to field (more than 40% of time)
Fluency in Bangla and English, both written and verbal
