- Conducting inspections of equipment to ensure that all safety standards are met
- Maintaining safety standards on the job site, including taking measures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Ensuring that all heavy equipment is in good working order and has been properly maintained
- Scheduling repairs or modifications to equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Training employees on proper operation and safe use of equipment
- Delegating work assignments based on an employee's skills and experience level
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Training new employees on the proper procedures for using equipment
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to safety, environmental protection, and worker's compensation
Educational Requirements :
