Octagon Group is looking for a dynamic energetic and analytic candidate for the post of “Manager, Civil”. The incumbent must have initiative, experience and the drive to deliver high quality results.
- Prepare construction requirements, plan, and budget.
- Prepare BOQ, MOQ Estimation to project.
- Prepare and justify subcontractor bill as per physical measurement of work.
- Maintain inventory report, and ledger on regular basis and plan for proper store management of construction materials.
- Supervise, monitor and ensure overall quality of construction works including finishing works and the quality of materials being used at respective projects as per the specifications
- Responsible for preparing work plans and periodical reports for on-going projects;
- Complete knowledge of solving any construction-related problems in consultation by discussing with the consultants.
- Assist in the planning and sequencing of the construction operations according to the Project Plan.
- Conduct regular inspections and assess the work performance done by the contractor.
- Evaluate and resolve any discrepancies and problems arising during construction.
- Enforce the relevant safety rules at site and make sure personal protective equipment is worn as and where required by the staff.
- Conduct daily briefing with site team member and contractor's people to follow-up and report on the work progress.
- Coordinates the delivery needs of all materials to construction coordinator, checks deliveries against purchase orders.
- Any other responsibility and maintain any other register as assigned by the management.
Educational Requirements :
- Diploma/ Graduate in Civil Engineering.
- Knowledge of BNBC Rules execution.
Experience Requirements :
Additional Requirements :
- Age at least 35 years
- At least 10 years for B.Sc. in Civil Engineering & 15 Years for Diploma Engineering.
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Building Construction, Civil Construction of Spinning, Denim, Woven or Garment Composite Mills.
- AutoCAD, Drawing Study Quality.
- LEED, ACCORD, ALLIANCE & RSC work implementation.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline.
- Should have supervising and evaluating quality.
- Ability to lead a team and must be good at teamwork.
- Must have good on-site management ability
- Pro-active, enthusiastic, self-motivated, independent and result oriented.
- Willing to frequent visit a new/existing site in all over Bangladesh.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook etc.
