• Formulate and execute sourcing plan and strategies for all direct & indirect materials, outsource capital machinery, equipment and spare parts with best price, credit terms, quality, delivery lead time and return policies for achieving best buy.
• Negotiate with suppliers relating to price, credit terms, quality, on time delivery and return policies for achieving best buy.
• Work closely with purchasing and procuring processes to ensure that materials and goods are procured, stored and distributed as per predefined policy guidelines.
• Maintain proper correspondents with project site, buyer, shipping line, Transport, C&F, commercial team and other concerned offices.
• Liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments.
• Ensure safe transportation of goods from port to Project site.
• Ensure effective handling of customs & clearance issues at competitive cost.
• Prepare documents related to export/import consignments.
• Prepare Tax Invoice, Supplementary Invoice & Export/Import Invoice.
• Maintain liaison with Customs to resolve disputed issues.
• Ensure proper selection of HS code for easy clearance from custom to save additional duties.
• Maintain good liaison with the buyers, suppliers, various factories forwarders, and bank for completing the documentation on time to smooth export and import.
• To receive purchase requisition from end user/management and collect price quotation from various suppliers.
• Port to port lead time calculation for import or hire decision.
• Any other work as per instruction of Board and Management.
