Overall responsibility for Purchasing, Cost Estimating activities, and contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process.
Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets.
Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards, and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders if appropriate
Receive purchase/procurement orders and requests through formal procurement requisitions and identify the requirements of goods/services, justify specifications.
Categorize goods and items, visit market frequently, select proper Vendors, inspect companies- dealers and searching markets for new sources.
Sending RFQs, collecting quotations, prepare comparative analysis; go for negotiation and issue supply orders.
Inspection and acceptance of goods, verification of invoices and submission of payment requests.
Involve in direct purchase through spot quotations following the rules of procurement.
Obtaining goods in right time at a cost effective price and work closely with the store officers in receiving goods through MRR.
Liaison with outsourcing companies in connection with Bulk Procurement.
Monitor price to control outsourcing compared with market and make recommendation for future procurement.
Ensure full compliance of procurement activities with the SPP procurement rules and procedures.
Provide cooperation to the end users to meet their actual requirements.
Files all procurement related documents for audit trial and future references.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management.
Educational Requirements :
Masters/ MBA (Major in Marketing/Operation Management/Supply Chain Management) from any reputed Public/ private university.
Professional Training in Supply Chain Management will give an added advantage.
Experience Requirements :
At least 5 year(s)
Additional Requirements :
Computer literacy and ability to using software is an added advantage.
