Job Responsibilities :
  • Ensure quality implementation and effective monitoring of the project in the target location/s-30%
  • Be in line with organizational strategic objectives and goals.
  • Assist Project Focal / Supervisor in making project implementation plan (PIP) considering the proposal and local context to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Responsible to ensure project eminence under the supervision of Project Focal / Supervisor.
  • Provision of IRB country strategy implementation at the field level.
  • Supervise the participant’s identification process and other steps of implementation to keep them aligned with the IR Principle and guidelines.
  • Ensure quality and standards in WASH/emergency relief/recovery/rehabilitation interventions at every level of the project.
  • Assist Project Focal / Supervisor in managing the project, overseeing the budget and carrying out the monthly expenditure analysis, and preparing reports and requirements of the fund.
  • Regularly follow up on the project activity, financial status works progress.
  • Assist in maintaining strict compliance with donor rules and regulations.
  • Engage in different need assessments, impact evaluation, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), and other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.
  • Ensure coordination and cooperation among the team members to uphold the organizational reputation.
  • Ensure community mobilization and engagement through an effective community engagement plan for all the staff within IR guidelines and compliances.
  • Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities, and materials & inform the project focal / supervisor.
  • Ensure complaint log and register at the project level.
  • Practice and promote SPHERE and Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) throughout the project.
  • Ensure Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues concerning project activities.
  • Capacity building initiatives for project participants, key stakeholders, and project staff at the program level-20%
  • Support in organizing orientation for the newly recruited project staff.
  • Organize basic skill development training for project participants on different topics i.e. repair and maintenance of WASH interventions, shelter, health & hygiene promotion, etc.
  • Participate and facilitate weekly and monthly project-related awareness raising and feedback sessions i.e. courtyard meetings at the community level.
  • Orient key stakeholders on Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues concerning project activities.
  • Organize training and workshop in different sectors for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective reporting, appropriate archiving, and visibility according to the project need-20%
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, interim and final narrative reports as per proposal and project need.
  • Provide progress reports to the country office and donor.
  • Assist Project Focal / Supervisor to prepare the financial report of expenditure and update it from time to time.
  • Assist Project Focal / Supervisor to meet the different reporting deadlines.
  • Update on track System on regular basis.
  • To ensure organizational visibility in different stages.
  • Prepare, approve, organize and preserve all project-related documents and ensure sending to the Humanitarian & Resilience Programme department within due time.
  • Assist in archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guidelines.
  • Share different information to develop the project with the knowledge management team.
  • Ensures comprehensive and effective communication, coordination, and advocacy with different stakeholders-20%
  • Organize the project inception meeting with different level stakeholders.
  • Coordinating overall implementation of the program at the field level.
  • Managing the team at field level on-site and/or remotely depending on access.
  • Ensure effective networking and coordination with Upazila, the DC office, and other key stakeholders of the project.
  • Ensure appropriate links with national/local authorities, state institutions, civil society, and other relevant stakeholders, including effective coordination and information exchange with them.
  • Represent Islamic Relief Bangladesh in coordination meetings at Upazila and district levels.
  • Coordinate the project to be managed within the agreed time, cost, and quality constraints to enable the delivery of the agreed outputs and/or benefits.
  • Assist Project Focal / Supervisor to maintain suitable plans, manage the delivery of minimum requirements and/or critical Success factors and effectively manage people (including third parties) and other resources.
  • Ensure that the beneficiaries are aware of the assistance and services available and how to access them; distribution points should be accessible and the distribution mechanism should take into consideration groups with specific needs to minimize the chances of violence, abuse, and exploitation.
  • Assist in liaising with partners, government representatives, donor agencies, and national and international NGOs to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
  • Organize phase-out meetings and lesson learned workshops for further organizational development.
  • Collect successful project completion letters from relevant authorities.

  • Undertaking record-keeping system/documentation in line with IRB record management guidelines.
  • Regular Financial Monitoring and transition to ensure value for money.
  • Facilitating external/internal audit;
  • Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on the safeguarding of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering for establishing a safe working environment
  • Participate in seasonal (Ramadan & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if required.
  • Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Educational Requirements :
  • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Civil Engineering
Experience Requirements :
  • At least 6 year(s)
