From the beginning of its development intervention CODEC started its activities only with the fisherfolk communities but over the period CODEC extended its working area countrywide.
  • Community Development Centre (CODEC) is implementing different Development projects in the field of Education, Livelihood support, Environment, Legal Service, Humanitarian Field, Advocacy, Health & Nutrition etc. The aim of CODEC is to provide support and assistance to the disadvantaged coastal communities in their day to day struggle.
  • Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites applications for the following position from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing an upcoming Education project in Mymensingh (Gouripur, Isshwargonj & Phulpur Upazila) subject to the availability of fund.

Job Responsibilities :
  • Preparation of payment vouchers with ensuring deduction of Taxes & VAT;
  • Keeping invoices, staff advances other documents and records properly & safely;
  • Data entry in accounting system;
  • Prepare payroll and others.
  • Update all financial books and records as per financial procedures following CODEC financial procedures.
  • Ensure a mechanism of all expenses including upazila offices to keeping controlling within total approved budget.
  • Maintain all the personal Files of the Project Personnel properly.
  • Maintain leave records including annual, sick leave along with other travel approval documents properly.
  • Maintain and update all bill and vouchers of every expenses of the program.
  • Ensure maintenance of purchase procedures.
  • Ensure the accounts keeping, stock registers and establish a financial controlling mechanism with all upazila offices.
  • Maintain and update all stock registers including fixed asset properly for all offices.
  • Ensure a physical inventory records in each office and ensure to update it on quarterly basis.
  • Carry out any assigned task need to be accomplishing within the due time as instruction given by PD/ Manager/ Coordinator.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project Financial Reports.
  • Keep invoice and all other related documents, so that internal & external Audit could be performed without any objections.
  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Educational Requirements :
  • Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting, Finance
  • CA CC is mandatory.
  • Qualifications may be relaxed to the candidates, who have adequate knowledge and experience of the position.
  • Preferred Professional Certification: CA CC

  • 3 to 7 year(s)

Additional Requirements :
  • Age 30 to 50 years
  • Both males and females are allowed to apply
  • Planning, budgeting, and financial management skills.
  • Skilled in documentation, facilitation, presentation & reporting.
  • Computer (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc ) knowledge.
  • Financial controlling and financial reporting skills
  • Field level monitoring skill.
