The position shall perform various tasks in management of procurement and contract administration works for the 718 MW (net) CCPP at Meghnaghat (the “Project”) undertaken by the Company in relation to construction, commissioning and operation & Maintenance of the Project. The position shall be responsible for dealing with suppliers and vendors in order to secure cost-effective deals and reduce procurement expenses. An important part of the role will be ensuring compliance with project agreements, financing documents, EPC contracts, maintenance agreements, all statutory requirements, applicable laws, contractual obligations and Company policies.
Review of contract estimates, including proposed materials, production costs, etc.
Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts (payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, provisions, guarantees, etc.).
Support contract implementation (e.g., training, process, consistency) by ensuring all teams are aware of timelines and responsibilities.
Handling purchase request, collecting quotation from different vendors, checking the techno-commercial terms & conditions, negotiating with the vendors and finalization of contracts.
Verifying background of vendors & on-boarding new vendors to ensure uninterrupted supply and maintain quality of the supplies.
Issuing purchase orders/ work orders and follow up for on-time delivery/ performance.
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Maintaining inventory and stock report and periodical update of such reports.
Maintaining checklist for vendor selection and vendor’s performance appraisal purpose.
Monitoring performance of existing contracts with suppliers and vendors.
Ensuring contract closure extension or renewal, as may be appropriate.
Developing and establishing processes that will facilitate the quality and timely execution of agreements from initiation to renewal.
Performing risk assessment on potential contracts and agreements.
Cross functional coordination and support.
Preparing reports for management, lenders, sponsors and other stakeholders as may be required from time to time by the Company.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, codes and standards.
Educational Requirements :
Bachelor degree in any discipline
