Octagon Group is looking for a dynamic energetic and analytic candidate for the post of “Assistant. Manager, Store”. The incumbent must have initiative, experience and the drive to deliver high quality results.
- Responsible of Inventory control & material administration of the factory store/ warehouse.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of receive and issue of all materials. Inventory taking, Quality checking as per the procedure.
- Responsible for issue, receipts, documentation, warehousing, inventory, stocking and making computerized entries for the related items.
- Ensure goods are inbound & outbound, warehouse management, safety, and security within the store. Ensure delivery of goods and distribution of store materials as per requisition.
- Supervise all store operational issues and uphold the safety of the storehouse.
- Monitor warehouse activities to ensure that accessories are stored correctly and safely and warehouse space is used efficiently.
- After completion of order need to make a closing summary. Ensure minimum stock level
- Monitor and maintain all required records, register, ledger & MIS reports of the store as well as inventory bin cards.
- Analyze information about vendor and evaluate vendor performance & strength.
- Ensure all procurement process and activities are run in compliance with company SOP.
- Preparing the monthly stock report and send it to the concern departments.
- Regular review and keep update about physical stock & stock position to ensure safety stock for uninterrupted production process. Verify weekly/Monthly stock of materials.
- Plan and ensure delivery of required materials and services in time for smooth production.
- Checking and receiving incoming materials as well prepare a monthly budget of specified items.
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (value of Closing Inventory, IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.)
- Receive challan from suppliers and ensure QC & GRN.
- Prepare and compile all related documents for submission to accounts for accounting posting.
- Follow up and lead all store personnel for the smooth functioning of store dept.
- Keep costs and other overheads within the budgeted limit.
- Any other responsibility that may be assigned by the management time to time.
Educational Requirements :
- Bachelor or Master Degree in any Discipline/ MBA from Reputed Institute / University.
- Professional Degree in supply chain management will be an added advantage.

- Age at most 35 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Steel, Chemical Industries, FMCG, Manufacturing (Light Engineering & Heavy Industry). Experience in Spinning sector will get preference.
- The applicants should have experience in the similar position 2 to 3 years.
- Understanding of e-business/e-procurement systems.
- Ability to face Audits from time to time.
- Good knowledge & skills in computer, ERP, SAP, Fast-react software.
- Knowledge in Store System and its SOP.
- Needs to have Strong knowledge/understanding of Planning for Garments & Spinning factory.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline.
- Pro-active, enthusiastic, self-motivated, independent and result oriented.
- Willing to frequent visit a new/existing site in all over Bangladesh.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook etc.
