Society Development Committee (SDC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Director (Admin, HR & Training) to join it`s Human Resources Department. This position is primarily concerned with providing strategic advice, guidance and leadership across the organization on all aspects of human resources and training management. As the key member of the leadership team, this position will lead the HR initiatives to ensure an employee oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment and organizational growth. The Deputy Director will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies, activities and staff of the HR department, ensuring implementation of the organization`s mission, vision and strategy. This position will drive the staff development and training activities and ensure accomplishment of departmental plans through initiatives that attract, develop and retain talent.
Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Frame and design policies and strategies, rules and procedures, develop overall HR operations in the organization's HR and compliance system, maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
Prepare workforce planning, search resourceful employee, manage and improve recruitment and selection process, develop creative and innovative methods to improve employees' profile.
Ensure a timely and relevant staff induction, design and implement skill development programs, conduct need assessment for staff capacity development and assists to design and organize demand driven (high quality, interactive, effective) training events, workshops and orientations.
Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training and initiatives to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Ensures administration of human resource activities including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management. Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains all staff in the organization.
Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's Human Resource Information System (HRIS) or talent management system.
Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with prevailing employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to effect changes in policy, practice, and resources to higher management.
Focus to make all out efforts for maximizing the efficiency, performance and productivity of the personnel working in different departments, units and projects of the organization and also to guide and facilitate them for delivering the highest level of outcome for the organization.
Educational Requirements :
Master of Business Administration (major in HRM) or Master of Management/ Public Administration/ any other related subject with PGD in HRM is required.
Experience Requirements :
At least 10 year(s)
Additional Requirements :
Age at most 50 years
At least 10 years of human resource management experience required of which three years must be as similar or senior position.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Must be fit to travel to different SDC work areas around the country.
