- Planning: Prepare preplan and set a goal, Planning activities over an operational time frame, Necessary preparation to achieve the goal as per preplan
- Operation: Operation Management of logistics function, Continuous effort to minimize operational expenses, Responsible for achieving require productivity with in the lowest possible cost.
- Assigning Vendor & Agents: Assigning vendor and agent for different task as per requirement with the approval of management, Review/Negotiation of offers from different vendors for minimizing cost, Agreement/Contact with transport & Equipment vendor
- Equipment: Hiring the required equipment, Assigning them according to requirement, Supervising them to ensure maximum productivity
- Manpower Management: recruitment, assignment, training and development of workers, Assigning manpower and supervise them
- Transportation: of bulk scrap, containerized scrap, materials, machineries etc. from port to factory
- Vessel nomination, declaration & operation: Nomination of the vessel after checking various requirement, parameters and port navigational constraint, Nominated Shipping Agent, C&F Agent, Lighter Carrying Agent, Surveyor and all other relevant parties and assigning them, Supervise and expedite vessel operation.
- Working with HR, ensure that Planning & Training and development rule are in place, maintained and followed.
- Processing the logistics bill by ensuring documentation compliance.
- On-time delivery of the consignments / container / bulk cargo from port to Factory premises.
Educational Requirements :
- Bachelor degree in any discipline
Experience Requirements :
- 5 to 7 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
IMPORT LOGISTICS, Sea port operation
