- Identify the potential source of Fabrics, chemicals and yarn market as per designers or operational requirements
- Visit international and local markets to source the required materials
- Keep updated the future and upcoming trends of fabrics and collect swatches
- Communicate with designers to understand the types, quality and designs of Fabrics and source accordingly as per programs/events
- Work with operations team for developing, planning and importing chemicals
- Process the procurement immediately after receiving the requisitions
- Manage LC and commercial processes for importing the raw materials
- Keep track and communicate with manufacturers/traders and C&F and freight forwarders for quick import and clearance from port
- Generate periodic reports on procurement from the international market
Educational Requirements :
- A graduate from any reputed university (preferably in Textile Engineering/ Supply Chain/Operations Management)
Experience Requirements :
Additional Requirements :
- At least 5 years of experience in sourcing in a relevant organization
- Knowledge of Fabrics and chemicals
- Expertise in vendor sourcing and development from international markets
- Understanding of Local & International Procurement Procedure as well as Modern Supply Chain Management
- Proficiency in working with procurement softwares
- Good problem solving & decision-making skills
