- Front-End Engineer with strong UI/UX experience
- As the Front-End Engineer, you will help architect, build and maintain American client`s web properties, client`s online portal, and core mobile responsive web application functionality.
- This position calls for a great deal of versatility and understanding of complete front-end development that allows our innovative applications to render correctly over a given set of platforms. Day to day, you will interact with variety of subject matter expertise to support a platform that will potentially reach millions of homes around the globe.
- In addition to writing great code, the Front-End Engineer, UI/UX position will also include user interface design needs for web applications that are designed to scale from mobile and desktop form factors. These design needs range from UI tweaks to full on new functionality design.
- Scope of Role
- Deliverables:
- New cards in Company Advisor that match design comps perfectly.
- Company portal maintenance & redesign of core features
- Company website maintenance and updates in coordination with Design Team.
- Maintain company blog development and design
- Maintenance and updates to in-app views such as device instructions, T&Cs, Learn More pages, etc.
- Create original graphics (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Participate in giving and receiving thoughtful & constructive feedback to strengthen design solutions
- Architect complex information in end-to-end flows
- Present iterations and proposed solutions to internal teams
- Deliver high quality, production-ready designs
- Experiment with different tools and methods to better inform our processes
Educational Requirements :
- B.Sc in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or equivalent experience
Experience Requirements :
Additional Requirements :
- 3+ years of design experience as a UX Designer or similar role
- Distinctive portfolio of shipped products
- Strong understanding of human-centered design best practices
- Experience working within growth-focused problem spaces
- Competent across product design (e.g. UX, visual design, motion design)
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software (e.g. Adobe CC, Sketch, InVision, Principle, Miro)
- Demonstrate ability to balance user needs, brand and business goals
- Demonstrate ability to work through ambiguous and complex problems
- Understand how qualitative research & data inform product & design decisions
- Demonstrate team spirit; displaying strong storytelling and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
