The manager will be a professional in ensuring cost-effective purchase of all materials and services as required by the procurement plan whilst ensuring quality control and compliance with the Company`s policies and procedure. S/He will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensure stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.
- Sourcing and engaging capable and reliable suppliers and vendors to ensure purchases / procurement is done so that the timelines are met and competitive prices are achieved.
- Purchased products should meet the required quality standards.
- Develop procurement strategies that are innovative and cost-effective.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs without compromising quality.
- Responsible for all commercial activities like export & import functions.
- Coordinate all procurement activities with PMD / Factory as required to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain commercial & Procurement Database.
Educational Requirements :
