    METAL, a leading Agribusiness Company in the country involved in Agri mechanization, Seed research, development, and marketing, having a stake in manufacturing, automotive & heavy construction equipment business, power, and other support services to mobile network operators, diesel generating equipment, and leisure and tourism businesses wants to recruit a suitable person to Head the Group`s Supply Chain Management (SCM) Division. This is a senior management position in the Group. The Head of Supply Chain Management is responsible for procurement and supply of all necessary items for different companies at the right time, at the right price, in the right quality and right quantity transparently maintaining all necessary documents throughout the process. The candidate must be able to understand bank processes relating to the opening of LCS, the retirement of documents including other customs clearing, forwarding issues, port rules, and tariffs. The ideal candidate must have an impressive personality, well behaved, soft-spoken, have excellent inter personnel skills, have a good command of oral and written communication in English, and manage the local vendors, foreign supplier teams, and other relevant stakeholders. The candidate should be prepared to work in a very competitive environment and must bear workloads and successfully lead different teams across the country.

Job Responsibilities :
  • Plan and manage the overall procurement of goods and services from local and foreign suppliers of the group following the policies and procedures of the company.
  • Plan the requirement of goods to be procured from overseas suppliers, sourcing, appraisal, collect Proforma Invoice, negotiate for securing advantageous terms of procurement like quality, quantity, price, and delivery time.
  • Open LC, follow up shipment with the suppliers, shipping agents, and C&F agents
  • Plan the requirements of goods and services to be procured from local sources, sourcing, appraisal, prepare Request for Quotation/proposal, evaluation of the offers, negotiate with the suppliers for the best price, quality, and delivery terms, issue purchase orders/contract and follow-up with the suppliers
  • Ensure that all procurement is undertaken at right time, at the right price, in the right quality and right quantity transparently while maintaining all necessary documents throughout the process.
  • Develop and manage relationships with the key suppliers to ensure effective procurement.
  • Develop and implement standard policies and procedures for supply chain management following the management instructions and standard and acceptable processes.
  • Maintain effective coordination and communication with the companies of the group to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization
  • Ensure Effective inventory management of all products, oversee warehouse management
  • Ensure cost-effective distribution management of products from warehouses to different locations
  • Manage export processes of products with banks, handle export documents, negotiation, sending for collection, etc.
  • Maintain import procedures with Banks right from opening of LCs to retirement of documents, release of consignments from the port.
  • Dealing with Clearing & Forwarding Agents, transport vendors and managing related activities.
Educational Requirements :
  • Graduate, preferably has a background and academics in the Engineering discipline and has an MBA degree from a reputed university.
  • Professional degree in Supply Chain Management will be highly preferred
Experience Requirements :
  • At least 20 year(s)
Additional Requirements :
  • Age- Maximum- 50 years (relaxable in case of the highly experienced candidate)
  • At least 10 years in a senior management position. Work experience in big local corporates, multinational companies, or large manufacturing industries shall be preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge in local procurement, foreign procurement, LC, freight forwarder, customs, HS Codes, warehouse and inventory management
  • Must be proficient to work in a technology-driven environment, must have excellent skills in the use of excel and other Microsoft Office applications independently, and must have the skill to manage inventory of diversified products and assess the requirements for timely inputs.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to maintain positive working relationships with the suppliers
  • Strong supervisory, leadership & coordination skills
  • Sincere, dedicated, hardworking & result oriented
