Lead and manage the company's production team and will be responsible for the successful implementation of production activities. Oversee the production process and ensure that production is cost-effective, timely and of good quality.
Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations. Responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time delivery.
Direct and control automated and semi-automated structural steel production lines, including hot rolled plate cutting, processing, assembly, welding, blasting, painting and cold rolled profile drawing operation of complex or light structures
Estimate costs and set quality standards. Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedures for all production operations.
Coordinate and assist other departments to ensure fabrication and delivery of required materials within target milestones. Co-operate and liaise with planning, project, purchasing and maintenance team to meet target of factory plan
In coordination with factory planning teams, forecast and manage requirements of raw materials and production consumables to match production and delivery targets
Manage, supervise and motivate a team of production engineers, supervisors, technicians and workers to maximize productive output while ensuring a safe and stable work environment
Host presentations and visits to factory to showcase operational capacity for prospective clients and identify progress updates for current clients
Educational Requirements :
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Production Engineering from reputed Engineering Institution.
Experience Requirements :
At least 8 year(s)
Additional Requirements :
8+ years of experience in steel industry, with a focus on fabrication of pre-engineered buildings / structural steel / production / manufacturing industry.
Excellent understanding of structural steel welding, cutting and finishing operations, as well as ability to conceptualize fabrication processes for complex and critical structures
Excellent leadership and organizational capabilities, with a proven track record of supervising and mentoring large teams of engineers and semi-skilled technicians
Strong Problem-solving skill and Decision-making ability.
Have knowledge about factory management, HR, costing and budgeting
Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
Understand quality system (quality commitments), ISO system
Strong language and communication skills, able to effectively convey fabrication information to clients and present production updates during Management and Sales meetings.
