Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 283 upazilas under 49 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
As partnership with Local Government Division, ESDO is implementing the Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project-II at Gaibandha District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
Coordinate with PMU and PIU in designing. Planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the project activities and also in developing future strategies by making recommendation.
Monitor project activities and supervise the work of supervisee staff directly through regular field visit and providing on-site technical assistance (hand on training)
Organize and facilitate monthly staff meeting to review progress and develop action for further improvements and reach the contract conditions
Preparation of the annual work plan with target (quality, coverage and goals), budget and project implementation report.
Introduce individual performance management (IPM) system into the project and facilitate annual staff appraisal system in participatory manner.
Attend the project related meetings to get informed on project activities, strategies, policies and goal and seek inputs and directions.
In closely work with PIU, PMU, and MSU to seek inputs to effectively implement the project activities as per set standards and strategies.
Coordinate with relevant government agencies and NGOs and private entities providing health care services in the PAA, and achieve synergy and avoid duplication
Educational Requirements :
Masters in any discipline
Experience Requirements :
At least 10 year(s)
Additional Requirements :
Age at most 45 years
Both males and females are allowed to apply
At least 10 years working experience in any National/International NGO at Health Sector;
Experienced in developing annual, quarterly and monthly plans, budget and reports;
Able to provide technical guidance to, and mobilize logistic supports for, and supervise the project staff for effective implementation of project activities;
Day to day coordination and monitoring of project activities
Guide the project team in organizing communities and support community based organizations for their organizational and technical capacity building;
Management capacity development of project staffs and volunteers through mentoring and coaching;
Coordination and maintain liaison with government bodies and key
Stakeholders managing
Any other tasks assigned by management
Skills in project cycle management;
Good understanding on issues of Hospital Management in Bangladesh; gender equity, protection and multicultural intervention.
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point);
Good verbal and written communication skills in local language, English and Bengali;
Pro-active and participatory decision-making and problem-solving;
Ability to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds;
