    WAVE Foundation, a national NGO is driven by its motto ‘Together for Better Life’ towards the vision of establishing ‘A Just and Prosperous Society’. WAVE has organized its programs into 3 major domains – 1) Sustainable Livelihood 2) Governance & Rights and 3) Social Development & Climate Resilience. The organization invites application from potential candidates for the position of Project Coordinator in a 26 months duration project titled ‘Empowering Left behind Minority Communities to Effectively Participate in the Development Process of Bangladesh’. The project is being implemented by a consortium of partners Christian Aid, Bandhu Social Welfare Society (Bandhu), Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST), Nagorik Uddyog and WAVE Foundation with the support of European Union. This project is being implemented in Rajshahi & Naogaon districts of Rajshahi division; Khulna, Jashore & Satkhira districts of Khulna division; and Sylhet, Moulvibazar & Hobigonj districts of Sylhet division.

Job Responsibilities :
  • Lead project planning and coordination to ensure timely and quality implementation of all interventions;
  • Facilitate training, workshop, seminar, dialogue and group discussion;
  • Communication and coordination with donor, consortium partners, advocacy networks (Loak Morcha-LM), change agents, Local Government Institutions (LGIs), different Service Delivery Institutions (SDIs) and community people;
  • Design local level mobilization, lobby, advocacy and campaign interventions;
  • Ensure adequate guidance for field level project staff;
  • Coach and mentor the field staff to improve their required skills;
  • Facilitate the process of activity, output and outcome monitoring;
  • Identify learning, best practices and carry out necessary documentation;
  • Compile and develop report and ensure the timely submission to the donor.
Educational Requirements :
  • Master’s Degree in Social Science or related disciplines from any reputed university.
Experience Requirements :
  • At least 6 year(s)
Additional Requirements :
  • Age at most 45 years
  • Experience Requirements:
  • - At least 6 year(s) in general, and particularly 4 years of working experiences on governance, rights, advocacy and campaign related interventions;
  • -Working experiences with left behind minority communities (Dalit, Adivasi, people with disability and transgender communities) will be treated as advance level experiences.

  • Age at most 45 years and relaxed for most qualified candidates
  • Good report writing and documentation skill
  • Writing and speaking efficiency in both English and Bangla
  • Good understanding on rights and entitlements of left behind minority communities
  • Sound background in MS Office and internet browsing
  • Sound knowledge and skill on using different communication media
  • Sound networking ability
  • Hard working and self-motivated.

  • Job Location: Dhaka with frequent field visit
  • Project Duration: Total 26 months
